I don't of many waxes and polishes that work well at temps below 50*F. Even if you can apply them evenly, they tend to streak and smear badly. Many products have solvents that need to evaporate so the rest of the product can be wiped off easily. Products with oils in them get smeary as the oily parts start to coagulate or act funny.

There used to be products with a lot of harsh ingredients that would work fine in cold temps. I think Super Glaze made by The Wax Shoppe was one of those that had toluene and benzene as solvents. You could wax your car with Super Glaze during a snowstorm and the product would work fine.

Most car care products do not take well to freezing, either. Ingredients in some products stop working effectively once they've done the "liquid-solid-liquid" shuffle. I had a conversation last week with a mfr of high end car care products and he said some of his products would not survive two freeze cycles and that he knew of many that would not survive one cycle.

My suggestion is to try the products in question on a small test area to see how they work for you. If you can detail when it's reasonably warm, in a place with no wind exposure, and the car's surface temp is at least equal to ambient temps, you might be OK. If you try it, let us know how it works.
