Unless Thompson's Water Seal had changed in the last 10 years, I wouldn't touch it. A fellow boater recommended that to me. I sprayed it on my navy blue Sunbrella canvas. What a mistake!! It is kind of like diluted wax. When it dries, it is very waxy. When you rub your fingernail over it, white marks are left. Use a good quality silicon, but don't use Thompson's on anything but your deck....
