Waxing in difficult places....

Ok, stop chuckling....not that kind of waxing!!!
I'm a firm believer that waxing makes it easier to keep my car clean....it lives outside and when waxed is virtually self cleaning. However my 2 piece, AT Italia Nido wheels are a pain to wax and keep clean.
What is the best way to apply and remove wax in difficult places such as inside cap screws and crevaces? I like to use Mother Carnuba paste wax and so far the only way I know how to do this is with a couple of stiff paint brushes....ideas?
Thanks,
Robert
