First Use of Claybar Posted by Ian Glenday [Email] (#95) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Ian Glenday) on Sun, 30 Dec 2007 21:40:02 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
My 9-5 got a pretty good dose of white paint overspray while parked near a gas station being repainted. It is white on frost gray which looks pretty bad. This morning following a friends advice I used a Mothers Claybar kit and started on the hood. It worked very well and requires very little pressure to get the job done. The result thus far after using the wax in the kit is that the hood color looks like it did when new. There are the normal amount of nicks in the hood but everything else looks great. I didn't have a detailer do it as I wanted it done perfectly the first time. The owner of the company would have reimbursed me but I wanted to dig in and see what I could take on myself.
