Sounds to me like you're not getting to the surface. You either need to buff your car, or being that they're black, have them done professionally.
You can turn a black car REALLY ugly with a buffer if you don't know what you're doing.
Mother's Cleaner Wax with a 10" electric oribtal polisher with 3-4 NEW orbital terrycloth pads. Apply generous amounts. Overlap your passes, like when spraying a house. Don't move too quickly. do a 3 foot x 1 foot area at a time. Apply moderate pressure. Give a final stage wax with Mother's Carnuba PASTE. Yellow and smells like bananas.
You will be pleased with the results. I promise.
