I have tried Klasse, Nufinish, Groits Best of Show, Astroshield, etc.

Start with a small area and evaluate the results. For hand polishing start with a clay bar using the manufacturer's lubricant. Groits, Mothers, Wolfgang all work great. Start with a clean car with road tar removed. Follow the directions and keep the area wet with lubricant. Wipe off with a microfiber cloth and you will be amazed with the results. If there are still fine scratches from the car wash then go with Groits' Fine Hand Polish or if you can't wait get a Meguiar's fine hand polish or swirl remover first followed by the clay.

Get the shine you want then onto protection. I have five cars to maintain in the fleet so I can't spend a lot of time polishing and waxing. My daughter's car is a 1996 900SE Convertible in Scarab Green (dark green metallic)and I tried Meguiar's NXT Generation Tech Wax 2.0 (available everywhere Walmart, Target, etc for about $16)last Septemebr and got a great even shine which has held up. It goes on easy and really gives a deep shine especially considering the effort expended.

What ever you use keep it off the black trim. I would scrub the trim with a brush and cleaner when the car is washed. When dry dress the trim with your favorite product. I prefer Mother's Back to Black.

Have fun!
