I have painted the "hub" surface of Brembo rotors with Rust-Oleum paint called Hammered Finish. The color I picked is Dark Bronze. Available at Lowes.
I cleaned the new rotors in and out with Brakeclean. Let dry and clean real well with lacquer thinner. I sprayed just the hub. I didn't mask the pad contact surface. While the paint was still wet I wiped off the excess paint real well with lacquer thinner. Let dry and see if a second coat is needed. Mine dried for a few days before I installed them but overnight should be okay assuming good drying conditions. The first set I did about 2 years ago and still no rust. I do put a light coat of grease on the back of the wheel before mounting.
Another option is the high temp paint used for gas grills. They are usually a dull finish.
Hope this helps.
