I'd recomend using the PrepPen Adjustable Sanding Pen & ProTouch Micro Paint Brush. See this link: http://www.promotorcarproducts.com/retail-products
use the prep pen to clean and prep the "crater", then use the micro paint brush to lay in the color ... you could start with primer, one or two coats. then color coat, then clear coat. you slowly layer in the paint and fill in the "crater".
Im not a pro, and it takes me a long time.
