I use start by thoroughly preparing the paint. I use Griot’s Garage ‘Paint Cleaning Clay’ once a year in the spring to remove all the embedded road dirt and debris.
For my normal paint protection, I use paint sealants. In the past I used Klasse All-In-One (AIO) followed by Klasse High Gloss Sealant Glaze (SG), with Griot’s ‘Speed Shine’ for detailing between washings. The Klasse “twins” work very well and give great protection, but a fairly flat shine (i.e. lacking depth). I recently switched to Griot’s Garage One Step Paint Sealant. The Griot’s One Step Paint Sealant seems to contain a slightly more aggressive chemical cleaner than the Klasse. The Griot’s One Step Paint Sealant certainly has more depth to the shine, especially on dark colored paint.
