Rotting leaves left marks on paint job. How to get off?

Hey guys, this has really got me angry. I had my car painted last winter, it looked like new. Well then this spring, I had it parked for about a month under a tree in the parking lot. I didn't drive it or wash it for that amount of time.
The leaves from this tree (not sure what type of tree) fell on my car, rotted, and now there is a residue of each leaf on the paint job. It looks awful. Ugh. I tried that pre-cleaner wax (meguires) that you use before you wax a car.
So I'm just wondering if you guys have any creative ideas for getting these marks off the paint. I'm not sure what type of paint was used to paint the car, but its not clear coat. Maybe I should try WD40? Or buffing it?
