I'd say Ulrich, who looked impressive in taking long pulls in the TTT, and of course Beloki, with whom Lance has been warring in the press. Personally, I don't see what Beloki is thinking... why would you try a soundbite war with Lance? Lance already has the last word before the conversation starts.

Simoni took a goodly beating on the TTT, but of course (theoretically)could make that up in the alps or pyreness.

It is a shame about Tyler, but man I just can't even understand that kind of grit - especially from a guy who long ago proved his endurance and toughness, and who needs only major wins to boost his standing.

Its amazing watching a real top level athlete compete despite having no hope of bettering himself, solely for the love of team and competition.
Willis Reed but on a grand, grand scale.
