as I also used punch cards on an IBM 7094 (before the 360 series). I used teletype and paper tapes on a PDP-11-45. The COSMAC by RCA was the first microprocessor that I used in a microprocessor class. I then moved on to the HP2100 series minicomputer with 32K of *MAGNETIC CORE* memory and a whooping 1.5MB of removable disc drive. These HP minis were rugged, they were made for the Air Force where the requirement was that it could take the shock of parachuting out an airplane and not so soft landing.
I still have a 512 Mac with no harddisk...ah the good old days :-).
