Yeah, many more details are needed here before some meaningful advice can be found.
I am completing my doctorate at William and Mary and have found to the need to add a couple thousand to whatever you "think" that you need. Is she going to live at home? If at school, in a grad complex? On meal plan? How expensive is the area? Big difference btwn a city school and a one in a suburban/rural area. You definitely need to add many more details b/c what you gave is much too vague.
One other thing on the p/t job deal....law school is VERY time-consuming. A couple of my buddies at W&M (one of the top 25 so a very strong and intensive program) were in law school and they spent countless hours reading and preparing for class. I would not count on your daughter being able to work too much during the school year.
Guess I should hold the attorney jokes, eh? ;)
