No one balaces sports sedan sophistication and rugged wagonish utility like Saab. As such, 'supersized' realizations of traditional Saab virtues should lie at the pinnacle of the on-road SUV crossovers.
Frankly, I'm a little disappointed that Saab didn't beat the likes of the Audi Allroad, the Inifini fx, Volvo XC et al to the market. I'll be satisfied if my hope is met, and the Saab ends up balancing competing design parameters better than any of them.
Also, I think the concept looks cool. I think they ought to call it something that captures the imagination. Gryppen would be cool, but may be a smack in the face to purists who would prefer to reserve that name for a lim'd edition performance sedan.
