Our office is fairly small but it works very well. We cover a distance of about 100 feet from the antenna, through 2-3 walls at various points, with a strong signal. I'm sure we could pick up the signal at 200 feet.
A note about security - WEP (Wireless Encryption Protocol) is NOT secure. With some time spent recording the encrypted packets, your key can be cracked fairly rapidly. right now, this requires someone experienced with linux and some time on their hands recording packets along with a reasonably fast processor but it's not technically challenging.
What I did at work was put the wireless router outside my firewall/VPN (Virtual Private Network) device. In effect then, my VPN client (with much better encryption) is required even though I'm in the office. This is MUCH more difficult to crack and security to a non-employee is just as secure as it is to the entire world. It also means that I can leave the connection open to the world at large. Come on down to Loring Park's south side and get free WiFi. Free WiFi is a good thing but only works if people contribute to the pool & accessibility. Without anyone giving it away for free, it's value erodes as the free-rider problem dominates.
B-Networks: If you have your network running at 100Mbits (as is very common), 11Mbits will be a large disappointment if you move large files around. If you're used to 100MBits, I'd really recommend the investment in a G network, just go with one vendor for all your equipment at this time.
