Keep doing what interests you, and you are bound to meet someone who shares your interest. True enough, but based on my experience, I would add two observastions to make this work for you.
1) CONSIDER BROADENING OUT: If all of interests are similar or related, or if they are all solitary, consider getting more from life by becoming a "newcomer" to something. This will broaden your pool of available mates.
2) BE "THAT" GUY: You want your friends to have a clear and definite sense of your personality and tastes. While I'm not suggesting that you tattoo your dating profile onto your friends' palms, you should be vocal about your likes and dislikes - I don't mean your narrowly defined dating interests, I mean evertyhing from art to politics to religion - anything people have opinions about. Tell stories about interesting things that happen to you. Share your voice so that people remember it and 'footnote' you to their own acquaintances. You know when your introduced to someone who says "I've heard so much about you?" Sometimes they're telling the truth, and some of those times, it's a good thing.
Just my two cents.
