Watch out for Nigerian Scam Artist !!!

I received a call last night from an AT&T Operator explaining that she had a message from a hearing impaired individual contacting me about my Saab for sale. The person on the other end was using a hearing impaired teletype system to make phone calls. The AT&T operator's job was to dictate back and forth a conversation.
Anyhow, this "dealer" was from London and was interested in the Saab. And wanted more information. In between the operator typing, I struck up conversation with her and she explained that many people who are not hearing impaired are taking advantage of the system because it's a toll-free number.
Well, needless to say, I had her type in my request to the "dealer" that I would like to contact him tomorrow and at what number I could reach him at. His reply was that he had no number that he could be reached at. I then asked him for an address to him office since I would be in London next week. Not surprising, the AT&T operator says that the individual has disconnected.
Next day, I get an email from the "dealer" about the car telling me that he would send me a check for an amount above the asking price of the car and to remit remaining balance to the shipper. Classic scam !!!
What ticks me off is that these bastards are using equipment and services meant for the hearing impaired to conduct their business.
