I removed a piece of samd that had the gears in our digital camera locked up and I was getting a system error that I couldn't get rid of and we couldn't get the lens to close.

It was pretty intense with the small parts and screws and the circuit board parts etc. I also had a 1 and a 3 year old running around me to boot.

I happened to be able to see the sand chunk which was good because the gears looked difficult to take apart and I may have destroyed it in the process.

I put the battery in while the camera was apart which is alway risky and it worked! Then I put it together w/o the case screws and it didn't work! I took it apart again and it worked and then on put it back together and it worked and I put in all the case screws!

Very cool. Just saved $100.00 that the repair shop wanted to fix it and we don't have to borrow our friends extra camera for the holidays.

The moral of the story is don't always think that you can't do it yourself.
