Don't just let them take away your privacy like that. How much identity theft do you think was happening back in the 1960s??? Alot less than today given access to our personal information was so difficult. People were falsifying documents and creating fake identities rather than stealing someone else's identity and cleaning their bank accounts out electronically. This is a REAL PROBLEM costing business and ultimately the end-consumer billions of dollars a year.
Plus...look at the following scenario: you put a camera in the car to make sure the licensed driver is the one driving. You put a chip to relay speed and location to a DB. You track the distance driven. All this information is GREAT...but what is the cost of using it? Does it outweigh the cost of losses incurred from unlicensed drivers getting into an accident or the car being driven outside the region? Most likely considering someone had to develop the technology, implement it, and now the company has added to its cost structure by having to pay someone to administer the information.
Next I bet they'll start fingerprinting and photographing tourists from certain countries so they can 'track' these hardened criminals-to-be before they start on their rampage to destory our country. Oh wait...they already do photograph and fingerprint that tourist.
The trend is clear folks: Guilty until proven innocent. Save the world and don't have kids...they don't deserve to be treated that way!
