I wonder what mold looks like under a black light? I found that using a black light (a real UV one) is a great way to find the source of a smell from something a cat may have done. Perhaps it's only related to that but you never know. It most likely won't work but hey... you just never know. I bought a UV black light bulb from a party store ($14) and put it in my drop light when I need to. It would be better to have a flourescent one but my bulb that screws into a regular socket works well. It has to be real UV light though so it won't look like a regular light bulb. It will look more like one of those funky engery savings ones.
I apologize in advance if it shows nothing.
BTW, When my wife's cabin air filter needed replacement and I couldn't get one just yet, I sprayed some Lysol into the cowl while I had the fan blowers on full blast. It helped for a week or so.
