You may have gone through all the drug stuff already, but I have been giving my 14-year old sheltie chewable glucosamine with chondroitin. There seems to be real benefits, although you don't see it for a couple of months. Now Charlie climbs up and down stairs, wants to play running games, and doesn't seem lethargic. He's better now than he was two years ago. Of course, keeping the weight down helps too. Good luck with your dog.
