Last summer my fiance was driving my older cherry Jag VDP. She got wacked dead center in the rear by some women in a blazer who was gabbing on her cell. Before she could get out of the car the hitter took off down the interstate. Called the cops w a partial plate # an a description. The cops never found her. The ins. co sent an adjuster to the housse the next day: $5200 damage on a vehicle blue book valued at $6100. They paid. As I said the car is cherry w new paint, leather, and wood. The adjuster had no prob recommending that it be repaired, and covered hidden damage in writing.
I DID have to pay the deductible, but my rates didn't increase at all.
All this happened in Greensboro, NC.
