Didn't drive but had a good showroom look.
Not bad looking, spiffy 16" alloys, big 4 wheel disks, nice size, ample space for my 6'3" bod and I can still sit in the back with the seat adjusted for me. Can't get a tilt seat bottom unless you spring for LT model or optional power seat. The rear seats adjust fore/back and recline - BUT the only usable setting is full back/full recline if you actually want someone in the back seat.
Well thought out, lots of little clever design touches, and seems well screwed together. Priced OK I suppose - LS at $27k (Cdn) and LT/leather for $30k list. I thought the rear-seat roof glass (unopenable) was kind of neat.
But - the worlds WORST seats - completely without any kind of support. Terrible thin upholstery. The clever little touches are cheaply made (I was surprised the latches that hold the retractable sun shade over the aforementioned glass roof still worked, even though the car had been in the showroom a whole three days). Very bland interior colour and textures (your choice of "grey" or "neutral" colour scheme.) Didn't even notice the dash it was so plain. The nifty three-position plastic cargo cover came from the same factory that makes clones of Rubbermaid containers. Handles to open/close rear hatch virtually non existent. Lots of flashing and mold marks on the plastics.
And the killer for me - towing capacity 1000 lbs? WTF? With a 200 horse 3.5l V6? My tiny sailboat is 1200lbs including trailer....
Basically, the designers/engineers did a fine job. Too bad the accountants didn't let them build the car they designed.
When I see this car for $27k and compare it to a 2-year old 9-5 wagon for the same price...
