I love old Saabs. I have driven a 99 Turbo and it was the most fun car I have ever driven. The connectedness with the driver is beyond reproach. However, owning a C900 or 99 is a little much unless you have cash for a good mechanic, or a space to work on it yourself. I can't wait to someday have a 99EMS wagonback as a "classic" in my garage.

I was thinking of getting a C900 2 years back, and ended up with a Focus ZX5. They say Ford, but its really a European car. The suspension was engineered in Germany, and the exterior and interior in England. The tall driving position will feel homey to anyone used to a pre-93 Saab. They handle unbelievely well, and the harder you drive it the happier it is,. (sound familiar.)

Not only that its exceptionally roomy. There is 19.6 cu ft of space with the rear seats folded down. Four people fit in comfort. I have had NO recalls on my 2002. Yeas a couple of minor issues (DPFE sensor, radio) have come up, but nothing that it far fetched after driving a 30 year old Saab. Plus a radio and A/C is standard, and you can pick from three trim levels (basic, no power windows up to leather and 6 disc changer....)
