intersting. Funny thing is that it retails here for $29 (I got it on sale), which is 4$ more than Mobil1 at Walmart or Canadian tire. As well it is grouped with the Synthetic blends, but it listed in the tech info and on the label as 100% synthetic.
I'm guess it is similar to the group III oil you mentioned, but of a different grade. Apparently labeled different : Rotella TSB 100% synthetic.
I read in the past that it was based on the helix stock, as you mentioned. Realistically, one can't go wrong with this.
