Saab dealers are *supposed* to only certify cars as part of a sale. Once a car has been brought up to certified standards which may be hundreds and even thousands of dollars all by it self, then $1,600 for just the warranty part ain't too bad.
The problem is getting the car up to certified standards. This may result in some wonderful parts like tires and brakes that are perfectly good with 6/32nds tread or 50% of the pad left being renewed. So often on our lot a car we don't think will need anything costs $1,000-1,500 for just the reconditioning part and then the cost of the certified warranty adds to that.
