How much greater is the value of a Law Degree from a Tier #1 Law School over that from a Tier #2 School?

My son will be starting Law School in the Fall and must make a final school selection very soon. He has been accepted by a number of schools, one being a low Tier #1 School (mid 40's ranking) with no financial aid, another being a low Tier #2 School (mid 90's ranking) with a full ride scholarship. The difference in his debt load upon graduation will be around $70,000 between these two choices.

The old addage is that a person should go to the highest ranked school to which they are accepted. Is this valid info? Will he experience sufficient boost in his starting salary with a Tier #1 Diploma to justify the additional debt?
