Anti-Freeze mix ratio 50/50, 70/30 for MN? Posted by Wil W [Email] (#1148) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Wil W) on Fri, 11 Jun 2004 21:57:42 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
Want to do a DIY drain and fill of my coolant. I know this is religion to some, I tried to find Zerex G48 but no one carries/heard of it. I checked MB and Saab dealers and they couldn't tell me what they had other than it was for MB or Saab. So I asked my mechanic what to get and they said anything is fine as long as its Ehtylene Glycol. I bought some mid-priced stuff that's ingredients are Ethylene Glycol & Diethylene Glycol.
What Mixture should I use for MN? COLD! Winters here can get to -30+ during winter, instructions say 50/50 protects to -37, and 70/30 to -84. But I read another post that said don't do more that 50/50 as it actually raises the freezing pt.
