What are you missing?
How about the Honda S2000?
Yes, I know, it's made by a Japanese econo car company, but give it a check. In the most recent C&D, it beat out the Lotus in everything but styling. I have a coworker that races his, and I can tell you right now, my Saab 9-5 can't even keep up for a half a second, but what he has in speed, agility, and coolness, he lacks in comfort completely. Wouldn't want to take it on the highway for a 12 hour drive... The 9-5... ready for the return trip.
What you like for convertibles is really a question of why you want one in the first place.
Cooshy ride - Saab, Audi, Mercedes...
Fear for life ride of life... Honda, Lotus, Toyota Spyder
Just down right awesome - Triumph TR6, MGB, and if you can find it, or afford it... The Austin Healey 1968 BJ8
