I will lay all the facts out on a letter if I don’t get anywhere over the phone tomorrow. Understand that my entire relationship with this dealership has been nothing but grief. I waited about a month for a simple warrantee repair that the dealer reluctantly covered entirely (should have been done at CPO inspection…dealer denies this). Then dealer sent the car elsewhere. The repair was botched and dealer has continued its trend of not being responsible.
I do think that ‘loss of use’ is due since I have not been given a loaner and have not been using the car. ‘Pain and suffering’ is also reasonable given the gross negligence of the dealership. I know it is hard to collect these awards, but if I am forced into the court route, I might as well go for the maximum. Taxi fare to and from work is reimbursable in small claims so I don’t see why using another vehicle should not entitle me to some collection. Two months and counting for a simple repair is unreasonable and has greatly inconvenienced myself and my family.
