I'd be very careful, IF you decide to clean it yourself. The mirrors would be first-surface mirrors, so they're very delicate.
Like camera lenses, the coating on internal elements (like the backside of the corrector) might be pretty fragile, too. The external surfaces that can be touched generally have a much harder coating.
I've cleaned first-surface mirrors with some stuff called collodion. It's sorta like clear paint that hardens to resemble saran wrap. You pour it on, then peel it off taking the dirt with it. You don't want to actually touch a first-surface mirror.
Then of course, there's alignment. That's not a simple job for a S-C, but I don't know if it's assembled with shims or it's actually adjustable.
