Worked for Kobe.
Seriously, though:
Money is a difficult subject for MOST, if not all, couples. I believe it is one of the biggest reasons for divorces: folks just can't agree on the funds, or they just don't have enough of them. Anyway, learning to handle this delicate subject takes time. Making loans, especially when you might not be able to afford to make the loan, and more so when you are loaning the money to someone whom you will feel weird asking for the money back, is very challenging.
For her to hold this once incident against you, though, as the reason for a break-up, is harsh. Seems like an excuse for other issues, perhaps. Bottom line: just gotta talk it out. Good luck!
