To summarize my situation, I'm a teacher currently financing a 2001 9-3 CPO. The finance and insurance payments now are reasonable with my salary, but in two years when the warranty is up, I'm afraid things will get tough. I don't think it will be possible to continue to make car payments, replace wear items AND pay for unexpected repairs that are now covered under warranty.

Buying an older car (lower initial investment) and paying for repairs along the way is not really what I want to do. I REALLY miss my 9000 Aero, but I don't miss the semi-constant attention it required.

What about leasing? Saab is currently offering $3000 down and $225/month on a Linear 9-3SS. Aside from the money down, that would lower my monthly payments and I would never need to worry about repairs (maybe aside from wipers, right?).

Sorry for the rambling... might it be wise to get out of my financing situation before this 2001 depreciates too much? I never through I would own (or lease rather) a brand new car, but do people find it reasonable even on limited budgets?

Again, sorry to ramble and thanks for the ideas!
