..can't show the generosity and compassion that the Sri Lankans' showed to Laura and Kate. It confirms something I've always suspected: those who can afford it the least, are usually the most generous and compassionate. Offering $35M (initially it was $15M) represents a little more than .00024% of what we've spent on the war. If we can spend $147B to "shock and awe" communities that need abstract ideas, like "democracy", why can't we offer something more generous when they need real things like food and medicine, etc?
