Does anyone know if the PCV flaw that seems to underlie the infamous oil sludge problem extends to the 235R engine (93 Viggen/95 Aero)?

I was looking at purchasing one of these models but am concerned about the possibility of lossing an engine on a relatively low milage vehicle. The info posted on this site from Saab only mentions the 99 Viggen by name but the model/year info seems to be somewhat garbbled on the copies I saw so it is still a little unlcear. Since all of the vehicles I have seen in our area are lease returns, the chances of having any decent oil change records are pretty slim - which makes the extended warrenty a mote point.
