Talk about something that gets beat!!!! Put a service tech in a company van and watch the thing fall apart. We have 7 service vans and trucks and only 2 are Chevys (rest are Ford). But the ol' 1998 3/4 ton Express van is still hanging in there, rides and drives very nice and the 5.7L still pulls strong. I just dropped $1200 on a new radiator, tires, etc so I imagine we'll be good to go until 250K before needing more serious work.
OTOH, the late model Fords we have..... oy! They're really nice to drive and work great but I'm not impressed with their reliability. A cheap repair is $500; the price I pay for diesel Super Duty's, I guess....
Anyway, a Chevy truck is plenty good past 60K, even 160K if you take care of it.
