Last night's commute home along I-95N in MA/NH from Danvers to Hampton was about the worst display of idiotic driving I have seen in my only 20 years of driving in New England winters. It was snowing pretty hard with very low visibility and a good couple of inches on the road but people were still flying along at 70+ mph. I must have seen at least a dozen spinouts, a few in progress. I watched one Audi on I-95S do a few 360*s and end up backwards in the median. I saw several SUVs or pickups off the shoulder or into the median. But still, people kept flying along, tailgating each other, swerving in and out of traffic, cutting people off. On NH-101, a 2 lane road, I watched 2 SUVs pass a poor guy in a sedan on either side at the same time. This is stuff you wouldn't even see people do on a warm summer evening with dry roads. UNBELIEVABLE.

PEOPLE: TRY SLOWING DOWN! There are mothers, fathers and babies in those other cars. YOU DO NOT NEED TO DO 70 MPH IN A SNOWSTORM! If you want to kill yourself do the rest of us a favor and wait until you get home or do it before you get on the highway.
