Here's a SAAB story... My boss has a college aged daughter who has been dating a guy for about two years. His parents had provided him a Ford Expedition to drive. I'm not clear on the details of the arrangement, but apparently he was the primary driver and for all intensive purposes it was "his" ride. Well one day his parents pulled the plug on that deal. I don't know if the lease was up, or if there was some kind of change in the family's financial situation, or simply a financial "awakening". Anyway no more fancy SUV to drive around in with his girl. But the kid had an uncle or something that apparently had a number of old SAABs in just sitting around (perhaps a SAABNET regular who can fill in the details). He told the kid to go ahead and pick one out. So the kid shows up at my bosses house with his daughter in an old C900. So about a month went by and I ask my boss how his daughter's boyfriend is getting along with his new old SAAB. My boss say's "Oh she dumped him about three weeks ago. She's going out with a new guy now." Disappointed, I asked what kind of car he drives. He said "A Chevy Tahoe" Poor Bastard. :(
