and your daughter's accomplishments! Talk to friends and business associates for names of Financial Advisors, interview all of them, and choose the best fit. Your EFC is very high, the Financial Advisor may be able to help lower it by submitting a revised FAFSA. Even an EFC below $16,000 won't lower the amount you and your daughter will be expected to pay (personal experience with this one), but you may qualify for subsidized loans.
I also agree with your assessment of Private vs Public schools. A high achieving student will pay no more at a Private School than at a State one.
