I thought it was just me, a quirk of behavior , or perhaps a reluctance to actually do the work. Those of us who's homes are a "work in progress", like my own, the fixer upper life. I have found I need to be in the right state of mind for the job at hand. As the never ending list of projects scrolls through my thoughts each day, the plan of attack and tools needed calculated and over calculated to find the most efficient means of completion. The grouping of supply lists for the job presently at hand and the one next in line, to minimize trips to HD,Lowes and the local hardware whenever possible, to take advantage of sale items when on sale for future projects. I am beginning to find a certain peace of mind in knowing that I can't force the start of a jobtask if I haven't first motivated the mind as well as the spirit to begin the project with confidence and verve to do the best job I can. I have found that by saying "tomorrow we start the cabinet refinishing" just doesn't work. I am truly more productive if, upon waking gravitate to the task best in tune with my state of mind at the present, much more patient, calculating and skilled doing what is foremost in your minds work plan for the day. Of course this only works as long as the repair is not a quality of life issue such as water, heat, electric etc. Im going to play the lottery now, thanks for tuning in.
