I registered successfully this morning. They ask for name, SS#, address, phone number. Options are removal for 5 years or life.
I usd to play the 0% game, until I realized while getting approval for an auto loan a few years ago that the switches had lowered my credit score by about 10-15 points. It's not so much the 0% thing as it is having so many accounts and so much credit open. I even had accounts open that I had requested in writing to be closed 2 or more years earlier! Turns out you have to keep checking to make sure the accounts are closed by the lender - they were even still sending me checks to use for accounts I had requested to be closed. Whenever I change cards now (rarely), I accompany it with closing another credit account. The practice works - the loan review for my new 9-3ss demonstrated it.
