Rear ending someone causing damage (small or otherwise) is wrong, fix the wrong first. The Saab guy has no obigation to donate anything to anyone regardless of the accident.
Why the car brands even entered into the story is beyond me. Would the car brands be mentioned if they were Honda and Toyota ? Should I read more into the story that BMW drivers have the moral high ground. Should I infer further that Harvard graduates are a better breed than the rest ? Hey how about Stanford graduates ? Should they be mentioned as well ? How about the Saab guy, did he graduate from some no name school ?
I am royally pissed at New Yorker even posted such a story, shame on New Yorker Editors.
If someone wants to help with diaster relief, then do so, don't make a f**king big fuss about justifying a wrong and pinning blame on the wronged party.
