I can only offer personal choice/reflections.
I would never (again) buy a stick shift car living/driving in LA.
I had a 88 900 stick for awhile but man was it boring to keep pumping that clutch pedal and whisk around with the gear shifter all the time in this traffic, call me a lazy bum if you want. And I drive plenty of stick shifts every week to get reminded of that the daily traffic situation here is not stick shift friendly.
This summer, visiting Sweden (and the open road concept) I again realized why people buy stick shift. I had a blast zooming down the roads and only having to down shift to pass another car or a steep uphill, feeling like a race car driver.
But here in LA, foget about it.
Many factors to count in though. How much city/rush hour freeway driving every day compared to maybe only use it on weekends for fun trips.
Don't know how much they changed on this 2006 6 speed manual? Some drivers had problems with the first generation that came out.
