It's an absolute joke. My on-road lessons lasted maybe 30 minutes, usually driving the instructor to the store, the cleaners, etc. Total joke. Yeah they showed me how to park, but it think it's a bit more important to learn to drive well before you become in expert at backing into imaginary parking spaces in an abandoned parking lot.
I've been thinking about taking an advanced driver's course for the fun of it. Charles River Saab had a deal on one recently, but I think it's over. I'm a believer in advanced training, because they're fun and show you how to really drive.
