I've got this nice Audiovox cell phone that is only a few years old. Its a CDM9100. I called up Verizon to switch my service over to this phone, and guess what, they say they can't do it. Its not "E911" compatible. The phone is literally like 3-4 years old. Sounds like a load of crap to me because he immediately started listing phones they have on sale. I don't want a flip phone. I had one and didn't care for it. You have pay for a ring tone that doesn't sound retarded.
Is it really true that it is illegal for verizon to activate my "old" phone? Could I switch to a different carrier like Cingular? I'm in northern VA.
