I have just received my March issue of Automobile magazine and in it was a brilliantly put together fold out ad entiteld "Born from Jets". The pictures are great, the idea is great but some of the the script is absolute twaddle. Firstly, the header on the back 'page' states The name SAAB comes from "Svenska Aeroplan Aktiebolaget" or "Swedish Air Company". WHAT? Where do you get "Air" from "Aeroplan" - its Swedish Airplane Company! The best line appears right below said header. "After WW2, there wasnt a demand for jets anymore" - what the ...? How can anyone take a car company seriously that makes what is quite frankly one of the stupidest comments ever to appear in print. To this very day Saab Technologies not Saab Automotive still build planes and has not stopped building jets since 1945. Granted the only thing shared is the name but I think you get the jist of what I am trying to say.

Who wrote this rubbish and why are they still employed by GM? I have loved and adored Saab since I was 18 years of age but I am seeing the slow decline of what was the most unique car brand in the world. It started with the 2006 9-5 and we have seen the Aero-X which in no way resembles a Saab. I have always said take the badges off of a Saab any you will ALWAYS be able to tell its a Saab. That was until the aforementioned cars hit the scene.

Message to GM, Scandinavians design the best Saabs!!
