I have a 1999 Saab Sportswagon. One of the few you see on the road here in NJ. Anyway, I bought the car from a used car dealership in September of 2003. LUUUUUVE this car. Every time I turned around I found a new feature, which was no surprise considering it replaced a 1996 Honda Passport. Everytime I see one of those I want to take a hatchet to it. My Saab was perfect in everyway. The only reason is was probably still on the lot was the high mileage and the fact that some finance companies will not finance it with such high mileage. But it was babied, with not 1 ding on it!

Anyway, in Summer of 2004, the CEL cam on for a bit. Seemed to be the gas cap.

In March of 2005, the car suffered rear driver side quarter panel damage and I had to get the dashboard replaced because of the blown airbags. I was hit by a guy who had a heart attack at the wheel. REMINDER: DO NOT MOVE TO NJ. IF A GUY SUFFERING A HEART ATTACK HITS YOU, HIS INSURANCE COMPANY WILL NOT PAY A DIME!!! NJ LAW ALLOWS THIS LOOPHOLE FOR INSURANCE COMPANIES. ARE WE CLEAR?

I spent mucho dinero to get my totalled baby on the road. Had it been front end damage, I would have had to let her go. Now in the past few weeks I'm getting noise from under the car and near the rear. I assume it has to do with the exhaust and now the CEL is coming on. I re-tightened the gas cap and the CEL went out for about a day and is back on. I'm scheduled for an oil change and diagnosis this Saturday. I'll let you know what happened.
