I guess you just have to take it out of the can before you board ;-)
Actually seems strange. Is it really any more "explosive" than a soda can? I am guessing it is under a lot less pressure and they stock canned soda on planes before take off.
BTW I found what appears to be the referrenced article on the BBC news website and I see the reference to Volvo and Ikea but I don't see SAAB in the article at all (apparently it isn't as Swedish as stinky fish).
