for her birthday, or some occassion. She sort of laughed, and others did as well.
The thing is, she leaves her lights on ALL OF THE TIME (also locks her keys in the car). This is to the point where she has affixed a "turn off light" post-it on the steering wheel. Unfortunately, her 95 Civic CX is no-frills, and unlike our Saabs, doesn't take care of her as well as we have it. This battery has been used at least 5-10 times on her car (that shes told me about), in addition to a few people she helped out.
I sort of cheaped out and spent maybe 40 bucks on a small one from Sears. Plug it in, keep it charged, check it occassionally (with the charged? "button"), and it sits in the back of her hatch for the next use. A really good investment, and she now continually agrees it was a great present.
Your question(s) - Need to recharge it maybe every 5 or so uses. Small, compact, and saves me from a) using my Saab to jump her car b) taking a trip to meet her to help c) her calling AAA or asking for help.
Go for it! And hope you never need it.
Sean
