Look in the phone book for autobody/paint shops. Go and take a look at some of the work that they do.
If the car isn't painted really well, it'll be a detriment to it's value.
I wouldn't even consider Maaco or one of those places that advertise $199.00 executive paint jobs. I drove a car once that I was considering buying ('89 900T). Consideration stopped as soon as I saw it had been repainted by Maaco. The owner said, "It's a real nice paint job, like $200.00." Yeah, it was so nice, the windows had paint on them, the window seals had paint on them, the undercarriage and exhaust system had paint on them. Absolutley rediculous.
I'd think that at minimum, you're looking at $1000.00. And that's if you're looking to keep the same color.
I'm sure there are some great shops in Houston, but be ready to pay for what you get.
Best of luck.
